Mid life victim or primetime woman?

I was 53 when I divorced my husband after 34 years of marriage.Although unhappy for many years I always found a reason not to leave. First it was because of our two sons and when they grew up it was more about finances and the fear of living on my own.

I had a good job and was the primary contributer to our joint income. My husband was an adrenalin junkie around money and lived each day to back a winner!
